Physical Therapy

Individual, 1 on 1 care, designed to help you reach your goals. Our therapists are experts in their field.

I am a physical therapist with over 20+ years of clinical experience. I completed my physical therapy degree at Andrews University in Southern Michigan. After graduation I began intensive study with the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) and became certified as a manual (CMPT) and manipulative (COMT) physical therapist. I then continued on and completed a three-year fellowship (FAAOMPT) in manual therapy with NAIOMT in which I was privileged to be instructed by and treat alongside several of the top manual therapists in physical therapy. After finishing my fellowship, I became a certified clinical fellowship instructor and have been able to mentor several therapists undergoing advanced training. I then continued my studies with the Institute of Physical Art and have been a lab assistant on multiple courses. Other areas of study include Visceral Treatment with the Barral Institute and Connect Therapy with LJ Lee Physiotherapist. I am certified in dry needling, cupping, Functional Movement Screen, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment. My treatment philosophy is to assess the entire person as a whole and then integrate all my areas of training to provide a wholistic treatment approach.

Dr. Kelsey Dawson holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Midwestern University. After completion of her Doctorate Kelsey completed a Residency in Orthopedics and became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) and Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT).

During her undergraduate studies Kelsey was a member of the Gonzaga Women’s Rowing team where she helped win multiple championships. Kelsey is also a mother of two young active children. With her background in collegiate athletics and being a mom Kelsey is in a unique position to understand both the concerns of athletes and active mom’s looking for full recovery and resolution of their pelvic health issues.

Kelsey approaches her clients with care and compassion, looking at the whole body to find the source of pain and to help clients reach their goals. Kelsey would describe herself as an ortho-pelvic manual therapist. Kelsey is passionate about empowering women through pregnancy, helping them prepare for birth, and navigate their post-partum recovery. She enjoys treating orthopedic pain in order to resolve lower back, neck, knee, foot, and hip pain. She also treats headaches, TMJ and shoulder dysfunction. She thinks of the body as a puzzle and enjoys the complexity of the mechanism of an individual’s pain, knowing the location of pain is not often the source. She has taken multiple continuing education classes which include topics such as myofascial release, joint mobilization, visceral and neural mobilization, cupping, posture and movement mechanics, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) to just name a few.

Originally from Everett, WA, Kelsey moved to the Walla Walla Valley to be closer to her relatives and enjoys the area for its beauty, friendly people, slower pace of life, and access to the surrounding mountains. When she is not working, she can be found usually running around after her kids. She enjoys getting out in nature, you can find her skiing, biking, walking, hiking, and/or swimming.
